About me

Hey, I’m Jess!

I’m a recent U of M graduate with a passion for learning and creating.

I discovered user experience design during the fall of my sophomore year, when my friend recommended a class at the School of Information. She told me about user experience design, how it combined psychology, art, and technology, and how she thought I should look into it. I was immediately intrigued, and signed up for an introductory SI course that night. During that class I fell in love with the subject. I then applied to the School of Information’s UX design program, and by the next fall semester I had transferred to UMSI.

Since then, my passion for the field has only expanded as I’ve learned about the power that information has, the psychology of usability, and methods of creating joy through design. Thus, freshly graduated and ready to get out of my hometown, I’m excited for this next chapter, and the opportunity to become better acquainted with the field.
